Longfellow District-Wide

45-15 Elementary School

A Note From Mrs. Carey

Dear Parents/Guardians and Student,

Welcome back to another exciting school year! I am thrilled to be teaching at Longfellow Elementary School again this year! I have been working very hard to ensure that your child will have an enriched, and positive year in second grade! I have been a full-time teacher in the Rochester Public Schools for the past 20 years, and have been extremely blessed to be born and raised here in Rochester. I have taught in a variety of positions throughout the district in grades K-3, which also includes teaching at many of our elementary schools here in Rochester. I have spent my last 10 years at Longfellow, and consider Longfellow my home away from home.

I am looking forward to getting to know your child and having a very productive year in the classroom!  We will be learning about many topics and working very hard to improve reading, writing, technology and math skills. I have many things planned to make this year a very positive learning experience for your child!

I will attempt to make every effort to keep you informed about your child’s progress throughout the school year, but please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns you might have. I may be reached at school between 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m/ at 328-3600 or by email at becarey@rochester.k12.mn.us.

I’m looking forward to a GREAT year!!! J

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Mrs. Beth Carey
