Welcome to the official Longfellow PE web site. You have come to the right place to learn more about Longfellow Physical Education.

We believe at Longfellow that Physical Education is a vital part of our students academic day. Participation in Phy. Ed. classes teaches social skills, discipline, diligence, pride and much more. There is no substitute for physical exercise!  P.E. is as necessary to our school as is reading, writing, and math. P.E. is more than just a game... it's a great way to learn.

At Longfellow we incorporate the importance of Physical Education. Each student gets 30 minutes of Physical Education 4 out of 5 days per week.  There are also many enrichments provided for our students to excel in: Hip Hop Dance, Jump Rope, Running, Flag Football, Speed Stacks, and Track and Field.

I have taught Physical Education for over 30 years.  I received my Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and a Masters Degree in Education from Winona State.  The first 15 years of my career I taught at the high school level and the past 16 years at elementary.

It's a great day to be a Longfellow Leopard!!!!!
